General Summary (the purpose and scope of the job)
The incumbent is responsible for importing time files into the ADP system and for processing any manual checks, stop payments, wire transfers and direct deposit reversals as needed. The Payroll Analyst will also be responsible for preparing the GL files for upload into the Accounting system. This position is also responsible for assisting the Manager with payroll transmission, receiving and loading files into the EHRMS system and running files from our timekeeping system (Enterprise eTime v6.1).
Principal Accountabilities (list in order of importance and indicate percentage of time spent on each)
Provide client service and support - 30%
Import and audit payroll time files - 15%
Process and audit employee tax records - 10%
Process and audit employee direct deposit information - 5%
Process manual checks, stop payments, wire transfers and direct deposit reversals - 5%
Set up and terminate non-benefit deductions - 10%
Prepare GL files for upload into Accounting system - 15%
Assist with payroll transmission, receiving and loading files into the EHRMS system - 10%
Job Specifications (knowledge, skills and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job)
Minimum education required: High School Diploma
Education desired: Associate Degree, FPC or CPP
Years of relevant experience: 5 - 6 years processing multi state payroll using ADP v5
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
ADP v5, eTime v6.1, ADP Reporting, Accounting, and MicroSoft Excel knowledge. Excellent time management, communication, decision making and organizational skills.
