Responsible for providing documentation and support for large scale audits, working with Corporate Tax and government agencies to protect JPMorgan Chase related to previous and ongoing Payroll filings.
US Payroll and US Tax knowledge is required for this position.
Responsibilities also include working with teams across HRSD to support projects for Acquisitions/Divestitures and Legal Entity Mergers, working closely with the Project Management Office to be the point person for ensuring all steps are followed for testing and implementation of these activities.
Works independently and monitors progress including accountability for effective and efficient processes and services
Research and resolve all incoming tax correspondence from Federal, State & Local tax agencies along with any internal inquiries as it applies to Audit Request
Ability to understand Tax Filings and Amendments
Ongoing awareness to reduce both financial and reputational exposure for JPMorgan Chase
Demonstrated ability to effectively liaison with all Tax Partners in Corporate Tax and Payroll Tax, and Operations
Active participation in all successful resolution of Tax Audits & Tax Warrants with full mitigation of risk and penalty (performing in-depth analysis and reconciliation of all tax data-(transcripts, SOD's, tax returns, W-2, and W-2s)
Recommends and implements process changes to improve services and systems
To support meetings, communication within NA Payroll, testing, implementation and overseeing of Acquisitions/Divestitures and Legal Entity Mergers
To participate in project planning to ensure all timelines are achievable and can be met according to work plans
To synthesize and analyze information into summary reports as part of overall project requirements
To provide spreadsheet expertise for reporting and statistical analysis purposes
Strong Project Management Skills

5+ years Integrated Payroll System experience
3+ years multi-state payroll tax experience
1+ years of general accounting related experience
PeopleSoft experience preferred
Knowledge of PeopleSoft Query
