To provide administrative support to the Payroll department. Responsible for the processing of payroll for 1500+ exempt & non-exempt employees, inclusive of data entry of hours worked, retroactive payments, miscellaneous adjustments, refunds, manual checks, direct deposit set-ups and changes, pay card activations, distribution of payroll checks and earnings reports, payroll record retention, answering telephone inquiries and other duties as assigned.
Essential duties :
Responsible for completing the weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing for 1500+ employees in a timely and accurate manner
Perform data entry and calculations of payroll data such as employee data, garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions, tax levies, child support orders, benefit deductions, etc
Responsible for all wage administration including wage adjustments per individual and annual organizational wage adjustments.
Review wage calculations and correct any errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
Record manual changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll record
Run reports for all company codes from payroll system
Compute wire transfers to fund payroll accounts
Compute wages and deductions, and enter data into computers.
Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records.
Process manual checks as required
Will serve as back up to the HR Assistant regards the entry of new hire information into the Hydrochem Oracle system.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum of two years prior payroll processing experience required
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Oracle experience is a plus
Ability to work as member of a team.

Associates degree or equivalent experience;
Able to sit, stand, and type for long periods. Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
