About the Job: Payroll Clerk
The Payroll Clerk is responsible for the company's time and attendance and payroll systems: timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related client service, including recordkeeping and reporting for over 600 employees for Northern and Southern CA. This position also provides accounting and project management support to Finance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
First point of contact for employees for time and attendance and payroll inquiries.
Process payroll and maintain payroll information as required
Download, review, and audit time cards
Data entry for all personnel transactions such as new hire, termination, leave of absence, benefits deductions, garnishments, etc.
Vendor transactions including, flexible spending, 401(k), etc.
State and Federal taxes, including quarter and year-end reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain related payroll records and reports.
Document workflow and work procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
ADP's Workforce Now Portal V2.0
Workforce Now Payroll V18.5
Workforce Now Time & Attendance V18
Knowledge of state and federal employment laws relating to key areas of responsibility.
Familiar with MS Office
Experience with custom reporting
Extremely detailed oriented with great communication skills, both oral and written
Must be able to work well under pressure and be proactive when problem solving
A minimum of five years of experience with primary responsibility for time and attendance and payroll administration and processing
Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Licenses or Designations:
Certified Payroll Professional, American Payroll Association preferred.
$21 - $24 / hour p lus a competitive benefits package which includes:
