LifeWay’s Human Resources Team is seeking a Payroll Coordinator. This position is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll and related employees changes in accordance with company guidelines, federal/state/local wage and hour regulations, including the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position will help ensure our more than 2,500 bi-weekly team members are paid on-time and with 100% accuracy.

Essential Job Functions :
Process and approve bi-weekly payroll to include applicable adjustments (garnishments, vacation, overtime, etc.)
Facilitate and monitor processing of federal, state, and local tax forms via third party.
Reconcile bi-weekly payroll effectively, efficiently, and timely.
Maintain, investigate and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll related questions.
Maintain all payroll related files.
Assist with W2 reporting, tax reconciliation, year-end and quarterly tax filings.
Perform Serve Center job duties.
Requirements, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience with payroll, accounting and bookkeeping concepts to include Federal, State, and Local Tax laws for multiple states.
Proficient on candidate’s current payroll software, HRMS systems, time-keeping and other applicable technology.
Prefer full-cycle, in-house, end-to-end payroll processing experience.
Prefer PeopleSoft payroll experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products; specifically Word and Excel.
Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Acute attention to detail – accuracy & organization are critical.
Able to work long hours on payroll cutoff and payroll confirmation dates, if needed to ensure payroll is delivered accurately and on-time.
Demonstrated ability to understand current systems and processes; identify improvements and implement recommendations.
Must have stellar customer service skills.
Education, Certifications, and Work Experience:
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
Minimum three years experience processing full-cycle, end-to-end, multi-state payroll (required).
Minimum three years experience working with multi-state and local taxes (required).
Minimum two years experience working with an HRMS system, preferably PeopleSoft (required).
Minimum one year experience working with an onboarding system (preferred).
Experience working in a customer service environment (preferred).
