This is a great opportunity for a candidate of 7+ years hands-on Payroll experience combined together with a strong accounting background. We are looking for someone who is familiar and up to date with current Federal, State and SF city payroll laws including the payroll and tax treatment of various earnings types, such as: Stock Options, Paternity/Maternity Leave, Imputed Income, Relocation Reimbursements, Fringe Benefits, etc... We are in search of someone who is highly detailed-oriented, comfortable with debits and credits, and will adhere to payroll deadlines while implementing process and control improvements. The company is growing at a rapid pace and new systems are continually being added and updated. This individual will need to proactive, forward thinking and comfortable in team settings.

What You'll Do
  • Process semi-monthly payrolls: generate and submit file to ADP, generate and create custom reports and book journals into GL
  • Review and process expense report reimbursements
  • Set up new hires, update/maintain employee records and process terminations
  • Partner with the HR team to ensure coordination of payroll information between HRB and ADP
  • Process stock option tax calculations, garnishments, relocation reimbursements and other earnings types
  • Set up new earnings and deduction codes within ADP per company policy/benefit programs
  • Coordinate payroll system implementations and upgrades, as needed
  • Prepare journal entries relating to payroll, PTO accruals and bonus accruals
  • Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and create various payroll and management reports
  • Prepare FSA journal entry and reconciliation (Commuter Benefits and HSA)
  • Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters
  • Maintain appropriate documentation for compliance with internal controls
  • Handle and support audits, provide payroll information in a timely manner
  • To be current with IRS payroll regulations, general payroll practices and multi-state regulations
  • Prepare and provide a payroll flux analysis and support schedules to the Accounting Dept. at month end to identify changes over pay periods
What You've Done
  • 7+ years of hands-on payroll and accounting experience
  • Software Experience: ADP, Excel and NetSuite or other ERP systems
  • Experience and knowledge of various ADP products
  • CPP / Payroll Certification / APA member preferred
  • Knowledge of IRS payroll regulations and multi-state regulations
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, accurate and efficient
  • Prior experience implementing HRIS and ADP products, preferred
