The Payroll Administrator/Manager performs all activities necessary to process payroll and maintain related records. Responsibilities include filing tax reports; processing health and voluntary deductions; processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments; documenting and updating procedures and preparing special reports for management. Additional responsibilities will include managing the accumulation, deduction, reconciliation and reporting related to company heath life, disability, tuition, childcare, Paid Time Off (PTO) and 401K benefits.

Scope and Complexity: The Payroll Administrator/Manager provides accurate and timely entry/review and audit of payroll information and rejected entries to ensure minimal payroll errors and appropriate timelines are met. The Manager responds to inquires professionally and accurately using excellent written and/or verbal communications skills.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in expense processing, quality control, payroll, and taxation. Candidates who possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet daily deadlines; all without sacrificing accuracy and adherence to policies will have the greatest success.

Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent training an education beyond high school; 5 to 7 years of automated payroll processing experience required; Prior Relocation Services experience a plus; Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred; In-depth knowledge of payroll tax and accounting principles as well as wage and hour laws; Application experience (MS Office, Web, Payroll Practitioner, Time Clock, and Human Resource)l Experience working with ADP Workforce Now preferred; Must possess the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and electronically across various levels within the organization; Ability to analyze and resolve problems through effective customer service interface and communication; Must be flexible and able to work under time constraints to ensure that deadlines are met; A strong focus on teamwork and the ability to collaborate well with team members; Strong analytical, conceptual thinking and problem solving skills required. Detail and process improvement oriented;
