SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position is accountable for providing superior service to our customers by providing payroll services, software support and other financial solutions that are accurate, of good value to the customer and profitable to Farm Credit East through marketing and delivery of these services, within Farm Credit Administration, association and state regulations and policies. With minimal supervision, depending upon experience, the incumbent is capable of providing these services to a varied type and size of business.
Prime territory covering central Connecticut and central Massachusetts from Long Island sound to the Vermont border. The Enfield office also serves as a regional hub for tax preparation and payroll preparation for the Dayville, CT, Middleboro, MA, Bedford, NH and Riverhead, NY offices of Farm Credit East.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
With minimal supervision, depending upon experience, the incumbent is accountable for the following:
Position requires a minimum of a two year Associates Degree. A four year degree in Accounting or related field with basic accounting credits is preferred. General knowledge of agriculture is a plus.
- DIRECT PROVISION OF FINANCIAL SERVICES: Provide high value financial services to customers for a profitable fee. Accurately prepare payrolls, state and federal payroll filings, and other returns. Maintain current federal and state knowledge and have a thorough understanding of all software programs. Maintain proper documentation and communication with members and staff in order to respond to internal and external customer needs. Contribute to the success of customer businesses and theAssociation through the timely and accurate delivery of financial services to customers for a fee, within specified guidelines. Contribute to the effectiveness of the financial services program by the successful completion of continuing education coursework required to maintain professional certifications.
- ACCOUNTING AND ACCOUNT PROCESSING: Ensure the timely and accurate accounting of financial services activities, including various types of billings and payments, establishing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and meeting documentation standards as required. Provide support to customers and other team members, inlcuding verbal and written communications with customers and others.
- MEMBER RELATIONS/NETWORKING: Contribute increasingly to an Association image of excellence by way of prompt delivery of high quality service. The application of skillful human relation techniques and negotiating skills in dealing with members is required.
- TEAMWORK: Assist Branch/Team and Association in meeting its goals and objectives through effective teamwork and cooperation. Promote open and constructive communications and the attitude of “What can I do to help you.”
