Perform essential duties lead and direct the
work flow of the Payroll Department to ensure
that all payroll is processed in an accurate and
timely fashion, and that accounts payable
invoices are properly coded and processed in a
timely fashion.

  • Compile payroll data such as hours worked,
taxes, insurance, employee withholdings, and
employee identification number, from time sheets
and other records.
  • Prepare computer input forms, enter data into
computer files, or compute wages and deductions
and post to payroll records.
  • Review wages computed and corrects errors to
ensure accuracy of payroll.
  • Record changes affecting net wages such as
exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan
payments for each employee to update master
payroll records.
  • Record data concerning transfer of employees
between departments.
  • Prorate expenses to be debited or credited to
each department for cost accounting records.
  • Prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes,
and deductions.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly account
reconciliations for all payroll and employee
benefit accounts.
  • Keep records of leave pay and nontaxable wages.
  • Prepare and issue paychecks.
  • Prepare monthly Edge Credit accrual, as well
assist in submission for payment of the Edge
  • Code accounts payable invoices weekly.
  • Submit accounts payable invoices to corporate
office weekly.
  • General filing.
  • Data entry of accounts payable invoices into
  • All other duties as assigned.
