Assist Payroll Supervisor with weekly payroll processing for 1000+ employees over multi-states. Perform daily payroll department operations including but not limited to:
Review time sheets with time and labor software exception reports and correct any discrepancies. Keep track of leave time for employees. Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits Process correct garnishment calcuations and compliance. Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases Respond to employee questions regarding pay and time keeping Assist with distribution of paychecks
Qualifications
3-5 years experience in payroll environment for large sized company covering multi-states. Working knowledge of payroll best practices. Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations. Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel. Working knowledge of Paychex software including TLO, HRO and Preview. Working knowledge of ADP. Strong work ethic and team player. High degree of professionalism. Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material. Strong interpersonal skills (both verbal and written). Ability to communicate with various levels of managment. Decision making, problem solving and analytical skills. Must be flexible with hours to support 24/7 operation.
