LifeWorks is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to process in-house payroll for 170+ employees.

Our ideal candidate would be a self-starter who could ensure accurate processing and recording of employee payroll on a bi-monthly basis. This role requires a tenacious individual that can work effectively with various personalities to ensure strict deadlines are met.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm
Location: South

DUTIES

  • Maintains employee information, timesheets and distribution codes to ensure timely and accurate payment of wages and allocation to appropriate funding sources.
  • Maintains agency payroll related tax, benefit and leave systems insuring accurate payment of taxes and reporting of benefits.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly and annual payroll related reports including IRS, TWC, W-2 reports and forms.
  • Maintains accurate and complete Journals and related General Ledger including all supporting documentation.
  • Assists with management and implementation of cost allocations and receipt operations and reporting.
  • Cross-trains with other Finance Office staff and assists in training program staff in accounting systems.
  • Assists with updating distribution codes.
  • Assists Director of Finance as required.
QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field;
  • Requires 3+ years experience; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED
Experience using Sage Fund Accounting Payroll, 3+ years working with HRMS such as ABRA, Non-profit experience, Current or previous member of American Payroll Association (APA) *Maintains employee information, timesheets and distribution codes to ensure timely and accurate payment of wages and allocation to appropriate funding sources.
