Payroll Services Specialist
Hours: 8 to 5 (until daily work is completed)
Our dedicated Client Service Team is looking for another member to join our department. Our Client Service team members work closely with our customers on their payroll needs. Payrolls are processed using different methods such as imports and standard data entry. Our Client Service members provide skilled levels of accurate and timely processing, responding to client requests and ensuring that clients processing needs are met.Training or support for our customers may be required dependent on the product features used. Prior payroll experience is preferred along with strong communication, organizational and customer service skills
Responsible for the accurate and timely processing and verification of customer payroll/tax information. Responsible for the review and accuracy in the following areas:
Daily input and preparation of payroll/tax transactions, responding to all payroll issues, customer questions and concerns, related to their payroll.
Proper recording of information to produce accurate federal and tax forms for payment for 47 states, handling any adjustments needed to post the proper tax information and produce the proper forms.
Retrieval of any information with a complete follow-up from start to finish, dealing with the proper departments or institutions as needed.
Reconciliation of internal/customer accounts and ledger entries on assigned accounts, for proper posting of billing and tax information.
Cross-sell related payroll features to clients.
Ability to handle/deal/respond to customer needs in a professional manner with strong communication skills, both orally and written.
Independently structuring workflow so deadlines are adhered to, achieving this through efficient planning and scheduling of work load.
All other duties as assigned.
Candidates for this position should possess an Associates Degree in accounting or equivalent.
Three years work experience in a payroll/accounting-related position.
In addition, demonstrated success in positions requiring excellent written and oral communication skills, the poise to interact with a variety of customers and staff in a positive manner, and basic selling skills are necessary. Clerical skills including knowledge of Word and Excel required.
