Audit automated and manual time cards.
Prepare and process retroactive pay increases.
Review payroll computerized edit reports and make adjustments to ensure the accuracy of each paycheck, deductions and earnings record.
Prepare termination, correction checks and other special payroll checks and input to payroll computer system.
Prepare and file quarterly payroll taxes.
Prepare and maintain payroll bi-weekly balancing spreadsheets, schedules and time card files.
Assist with the preparations of W-2’s at year-end and throughout the year, performs periodic W-2 balancing.
Administer biweekly payment of state, federal and other payroll taxes.
Answers employee and management payroll related questions.
In coordination with Human Resources, verifies employment and/or wages paid for mortgage companies, welfare assistance, Social Security Administrations, automobile insurance claims, etc.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Graduate or GED equivalent, and additional education and training in clerical, bookkeeping and payroll issues.
Minimum of one year of payroll processing experience using a complex automated time and attendance system, or an equivalent combination of education and payroll experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
3 or more years of payroll processing
Experience processing payroll for multiple entities and locations
