The Jones Group, Inc. is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist. This position is responsible for processing payroll for the various entities of The Jones Group, Inc. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Set up of hourly employees clocking profile in the Automatic Data Processing (ADP) Enterprise Payroll System Version 5 (EV5) for export to ADP eTime Timekeeping System (ADP eTime) to allow for employee swiping
Maintain and update warehouse employees work schedules in the ADP Etime System
Review employee hours worked against standard hours, confirm Supervisor approvals, and export hours using the ADP ETime System
Balance ADP eTime export hours files to ADP EV5 imported hours batch totals for processing accuracy
Process employee pay adjustments; which includes retro calculations, deductions, and adjustments to regular pay and produce payroll reports to assist with payroll data entry verification
Process special payrolls for Year End Bonus, Restricted Stock, and Stock Dividends payments.
Review Employee Changes Report for necessary payroll verification for payroll departments numbers and tax set up.
Continuous review of JAG Payroll Department Termination mailbox to ensure employee final pay is paid in accordance with state guidelines. This may require the processing of a manual check
Calculate and process manual checks using ADP EV5 Check Mate program for gross to net payment and process void entries as required
Transmit payroll files to ADP, verify ADP Mainframe payroll output files were loaded into ADP EV5
Prepare payment voucher of net pay and taxes for Accounting/Treasury Departments and provide backup verification
Verify payroll output against input for accuracy, check count, check distribution, and set up for next cycle
Post payroll gross to net summaries and employer taxes to spreadsheets for current payroll balancing and to facilitate quarter/year end balancing
Provide Customer Service support to various The Jones Group Sites/Stores regarding payroll questions/issues
Participation in other Department initiatives or projects as needed, which includes System Upgrades
Identify and make recommendations on process improvement opportunities
Notify approving internal Supervisors/Managers of any ADP ETime issues regarding their employees' timekeeping records
Research and provide resolutions to questions from various internal HR Sites/Stores as it pertains to payroll issues

High School Diploma required
Require a minimum of three years payroll experience
Knowledge of ADP Products preferred
Proficient in MS Office Products
Ability to multi task
Proficient in the English Language
Perform mathematical concepts
Ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
Good verbal and written communication skills
Organizational skills
