Performs all administrative activities necessary to process bi-weekly payroll for a multi-state, multi-divisional structure for approximately 1,000 employees. Maintain related records, ensure proper tax reports for payroll are submitted, voluntary deduction reports, process involuntary deductions such as levies and wage garnishments, prepare information for accounting transactions and documents, documenting and updating procedures and prepares special report for management related to payroll activities. Performs administrative functions for processing new and renewal applications for collector licensing; coordinates with the various states.
Compile payroll data such as hours worked from Etime software and other records
Enters payroll adjustments; direct deposits, 401k changes, pay rate changes
benefit corrections/adjustments, wage garnishments, etc.
Makes adjustments and updates accrual calendars for vacation, sick and personal time
Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance
Track, follow up and payout for Employee Referral programs according to policy
Answer employee related payroll questions
Complete information requested for child support orders and processes notifications of termination of employment)
Processes entries of Third Party Sick payouts (disability) in PayeXpert and COBRA Credit
Complete information requested for wage garnishment orders and calculations based on state specific formulas as outlined in order
Work with accounting manager on resolving MAS90 integration issues
Notify ADP of any changes in unemployment rates and other state inquiries received
Process Year End payroll – UYE (adjustments – S-Corp, mileage, etc)
Process monthly bonus
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
3 years of payroll experience - Enterprise Level
ADP/Pay Expert experience needed.
CPP designation preferred.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate's Degree Plus preferred.
