This position will process payroll for all DCHS - CBS Associates to include :
All timecards are complete, in compliance with union contracts, Federal and State laws and DCHS-CBS policies and have the appropriate signatures, administer according to all union contracts, laws, policies, and procedures.
Investigate timecard coding errors and resolve/educate with department managers and associate prior to next payroll processing
Ensure proper authorization of all timecards, official documents and any documents asking for confidential information.
Ensure accuracy of balancing and keying timecards prior to Post and Print.
Assist with the preparation of State and Federal quarterly and annual tax returns, W-2s.
Ensure all checks are distributed to the proper location at the time determined by your Payroll Lead as well as policies and procedures.
Provide complete Employment Verifications for previous and present.
Assist when necessary with filing, boxing, moving, and storing files and records and any other duties.
Timely and accurately prepare on-demand checks for terminations, retro-adjustments and other disbursements determined to be necessary for immediate distribution.
Main all payroll and Associate information in a VERY CONFIDENTIAL manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE : High School graduate or equivalent Three to Five years of experience in a high volume payroll department, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting Experience with keypunch and data entry Knowledge and experience with payroll information systems and personal computer skills Knowledge of general accounting concepts and applications Kronos 5.0 preferred Infinium preferred
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Good written and verbal communications skills Must demonstrate strong analytical skills Must be responsive to questions and requests from department managers, human resources and all other employees
