My Kids Dentist Manager ( MKD Manager )
The role of the MKD Manager is to be responsible for achieving the Pediatric dental financial performance and revenue growth strategy for their location. The MKD manager needs to be an expert in their local market, leveraging best practices for patient acquisition and retention. The MKD manager provides the leadership and guidance to achieve individual and team success. The MKD manager supports and drives PDS’s mission and culture for their location. The position reports to an Operations Manager, unless in a stand-alone MKD office location. In locations that have Pediatrics and Orthodontics designed to operate from the same location/entry; Orthodontics may be a requirement as well.

Identifying staff and developing talent. Driving year over year revenue and profit growth. Effectively implement best operational practices. Managing expenses to achieve monthly budget. Creating an environment that promotes PDS and MKD culture and values daily. Create an environment that facilitates a Patient For Life (PFL) environment. Provide effective leadership, coaching and mentoring in an effort to identify and implement opportunities for improvement. Must keep commitments and keep manager informed of work progress, timetables, and issues. Facilitate the launch of Pediatric Dental model and programs in assigned office. Make sure the schedule is productive and organized so that the Pediatric Dentist will have a profitable and smooth running office. Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to annual office budget to allow for autonomy of day-to-day decisions, ensure P&L management and profitability of office. Constantly search for best practices for Pedo and help implementation and execution of system in place. Be the “expert” when it comes to procedures and insurance benefits and analyze opportunities in PRISM for Pedo. Ensure that the first visit as well as subsequent visits thereafter by the Pediatric Dentist will be smooth by checking supplies, forms, schedule and dental assistants are in order. Treat office staff and patients with respect, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude. Maintains an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies; addresses others professionally and respectfully. Performs Human Resources related functions, such as interviewing and selecting, Performance Appraisals, Disciplinary Actions and Salary Administration. Ensure Compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies. May manage a team of both Front Office and Back Office employees; act as mentor, support, and assist in the development and training of staff. Determine and maintain efficient staffing levels by interviewing, hiring, training, developing, coaching, counseling, supervising, evaluating, and terminating staff as needed. Assess, investigate, and resolve staff and patient issues by analyzing the facts and circumstances to develop timely, effective, logical yet creative solutions. Implement, and ensure adherence to cash management and accounting protocols. Develop and implement precise, realistic, and measurable individual and office goals that are challenging and compatible with Company policy.
Implement, coordinate and manage marketing programs to grow the business. Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to criteria with respect to facility cleanliness and maintenance. Provide feedback regarding specific tactics that change financial and patient outcomes such that the rest of the organization can benefit. Lead and participate in daily huddles and meetings as required. Other duties assigned by Management.

REQUIRED: At least 5 or more years of related work experience. Operational management knowledge of medical/dental offices. Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
DESIRABLE: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience; prior coursework or on-the-job training in the fields of dentistry, business, or training. Knowledge of WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT and QSI software applications. Experience leading a team, mentoring and coaching subordinates.
