Completes needs assessment, develops and implements educational competencies for nursing staff on all shifts in Pediatrics. Collaborates with the Pediatric lead preceptor to support orientation of students and orientees. Develops and implements high fidelity pediatric mock codes. Is involved in unit and hospital quality initiatives. This is a temporary transition position while employee works on obtaining degree and licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist within a specified time frame.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
Work Experience: Two years experience as a preceptor, educator, or manager/supervisor.; Current pediatric clinical experience.; Experience with formal and informal teaching preferred.
License/Certification: Current IL RN licensure by the IL Dept of Professional Regulation (IDPR).; Current CPR certification.; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). PALS Instructor preferred.; National specialty certification.
