Seeking part-time Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) Peer Recovery Specialist to assist participants in articulating personal goals for recovery and gainful employment/volunteer/school, assist participants in determining reasonable and holistic steps moving into recovery and identifying barriers to recovery goals. The PRS will assist participants in identifying personal strengths in daily living and recovery skills. In addition, the PRS will teach participants problem solving skills, how to identify and combat negative self talk, and how to overcome fears.
High school Diploma. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook) and satisfactory writing skills for completing reports and required documentation. Excellent verbal skills, ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of persons i.e., clients, clinical staff, employers, court officials, etc. Prefer a person in recovery with previous experience with the criminal justice system, and/or prior treatment/recovery from behavioral health issues.
