Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critical and player acclaim. As the most played PC game in the world, over 32 million play every month. Players form the foundation of our community and it’s for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience.

We’re looking for humble but ambitious, razor-sharp professionals who can teach us a thing or two. We promise to return the favor. Like us, you take play seriously; you’re passionate about games. We embrace those who see things differently, aren’t afraid to experiment, and who have a healthy disregard for constraints.

That’s where you come in.

As People Operations Generalist , you’ll shatter the traditional “HR” generalist role and keep processes and projects that are focused on helping people running smoothly. You’ll touch every People Operations project, whether it’s payroll, documentation, processing or immigration, and ensure that Rioters are constantly informed of pressing people-related concerns. Your original ideas for streamlining and improving the road ahead will obliterate bureaucratic barriers and enable teams to be creative, productive and player-focused.

You are:
A task master : when managing tasks, you’re able to view the project’s entire world map, while prioritizing and concentrating on the specific job at hand

Not a newb : you’ve spent at least two years becoming adept with HRIS and payroll systems; you know it’s important to stay within regulatory compliance, but you do so without getting bogged down in bureaucracy

Mentally agile : for you, every new experience is an opportunity to flex your brain and bolster your knowledge; you’re eager to tackle any task from conducting audits and processing green cards or work visas to documenting policy development or utilizing a compensation framework

A constructive collaborator : you build lasting relationships that help you promote great ideas, keep projects rolling and help support teams all over the world

A communications black belt : you communicate effectively across the most appropriate medium, be it email, hallway conversation or telepathy helmet; you’re open with feedback, both giving and receiving

You will:
Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and conduct compliance audits when necessary

Work with a variety of teams to coordinate immigration concerns and compensation claims

Handle regulatory concerns and coordinate reports

Work to improve preboarding, onboarding and offboarding processes

Create Riot-wide relationships of trust and maintain a network of People Operations pros
