It includes John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek (572-bed acute care facility) , which serves as Contra Costa County's only designated trauma center and John Muir Medical Center, Concord (313-bed acute care facility).Together, they are recognized as top centers for neurosciences, orthopedics, cancer care, cardiovascular care and high-risk obstetrics. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management, Operations Research, Information Technology, or other related field required; Master’s degree required
5-7 years of work experience in management engineering, project management, consulting or other related area
Formal education in Six Sigma/Lean principles or other formal process improvement training is required
Green belt or black belt or master black belt or other process improvement method certification required
Certification in general healthcare and management information systems or project management methods preferred (such as CPHIMS, PMP, etc.)
Experience in leading complex cross-functional, cross-business unit process improvement and management efforts
Healthcare experience strongly desired including working knowledge of hospital organization structure and interrelationships preferred
Ability to work collaboratively, both with and through individuals. .
Ability to coach, mentor and teach staff and leaders to better integrate systems thinking into organizational practice
Demonstrated expertise in change management, facilitation and project management methods
Ability to design and implement business process reviews, performance scorecards and process governance teams
Ability to integrate industry best practices and benchmarks into current operations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to develop and deliver presentations for multiple organizational levels
Internal or external consulting experience a plus
Experienced with in-depth financial analysis
Demonstrated complex problem solving and analytical skills
