About the Position :
This new position will act as the ambassador in Marketing for eBusiness colleagues – helping nail down priorities, get access to needed resources, build the team’s capabilities and advocate for the group’s success. There is room to grow in this role by helping us define it’s scope and do some great work on the emerging edge of eBusiness innovation in an established company.
We are seeking a highly organized and effective professional to work side-by-side with the global leader of MetLife’s eBusiness group. You will work with a broad range of colleagues to help drive strategy, implementation of priorities and the ongoing work process that keeps the Global eBusiness group connected, on-track and delivering a broad range of eBusiness solutions across MetLife’s global organization.

About the eBusiness Group at MetLife :
Housed in the CMO’s organization, our mission is to help everyone act on their best intentions to protect their financial future – for themselves and their loved ones.

Principal Responsibilities :
Build and coordinate eBusiness calendar of priorities and deliverables.

Manage CHANNELeB, an on-line internal collaboration site, keeping information up-to-date, relevant and engaging.

Coordinate the development of eBusiness knowledge, skills and abilities across the eBusiness group.

Organize, build materials and coordinate key eBusiness meetings including 1:1s, Directs, All Staff, Lead Generation, eBusiness, Global eBusiness and Lunch & Learn sessions.

Design and build internal/external presentations that are concise, engaging and creative. The incumbent is great at putting together effective and impactful communications and .ppt materials.

Manage eBusiness governance process resulting in agreed to priorities and timely execution of tasks.

Manage budget, headcount and resource allocation.

Collaborate with key internal constituents to acquire necessary materials, resources and support (eg., IT, Finance and HR).

Work on key projects as assigned.


Experience Required

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required :
Bachelor Degree and a minimum of 5- 7 years of marketing work experience or Masters Degree with 3 - 5 years of related work experience.

Organized – Effectively allocates resources (e.g., funding, human capital, etc.) to achieve results; orchestrates critical tasks and activities against tight deadlines; arranges and distributes information to enable team members to get things done.

Written Communication – Writes clear and succinct messages tailored to specific audiences and selects appropriate channels and styles to achieve the desired effect.

Approachable – Easy to approach and talk to; able to put others at ease; sensitive to and patient with diverse interpersonal styles; good listener; quickly identifies and proactively addresses issues as they arise.

Presentation Skills – Effectively creates presentations for a variety of audiences; can comfortably explain diverse subject matter, from detailed data to controversial topics.

Interpersonal Savvy – Builds rapport and sustainable trust with a diverse range of people; diplomatic and comfortably diffuses tense situations.

Managing and Measuring Work – Clearly outlines objectives and delegates responsibility for tasks and decisions; defines key metrics to monitor progress against goals; builds systematic feedback loops into work process.
