Seeking a candidate to work in the Personal Line Department. This person will be responsible for new business sales and servicing an existing book of business.
Must be able to meet an annual sales quota and manage an assigned book of business in which the individual is responsible for retention. Must be able to establish, develop, and sustain positive and professional customer and carriers relations. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales and servicing personal line insurance product.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Meet the annual sale quota that will be set no later than the beginning of each year.
Manage an assigned book of business in which the individual is responsible for retention. Retention goal to be set no later than the beginning of each year.
Sell additional lines of business to existing clients, i.e., account rounding.
Establish, develop, and sustain positive and professional customer relations.
Advise and direct clients on issues, administration, billing, and endorsement premiums.
Negotiate rates/premiums for client upon request or when needed.
Review, recommend, implement, install and finalize renewals, changes and/or new policies.
Create, prepare and present formal client proposals.
Develop and sustain positive and professional carrier relationships.
Maintain timely and accurate client records on the Applied Management System and keep files up to date.
Perform responsibilities of other Personal Insurance Agents when needed.
Accept and process daily incoming calls from the established phone hunt groups for other team mates when they are not available.
Be proficient utilizing the comparative rater IBQ, company websites, Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Paperwise scanning system.
Maintain awareness of current carrier products, programs and process requirements.
Provide guidance to clients on technical issues regarding their insurance.
Assist with service/claims issues when needed.
Work with commercial/benefit producers when personal lines new business leads are brought into the agency.
Maintain insurance license and keep continuing education up to date.
Work with other team members on department projects and goals.
Review completed Family Risk Questionnaires within 30 days of receipt from clients.
*2 Years of insurance experience
*Experience with MS Outlook and Word
*P&C License for Oregon or Washington a Plus
