Responsible for providing the day-to-day service, teller and sales activities to achieve the highest possible level of customer service. Performs a broad variety of customer service functions including: assisting the Branch Manager with outside business development calls when applicable, responding to customer service inquires, interviewing, anticipating customer needs, offering appropriate products, cross-selling other related products and services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides a complete range of customer services, including opening new accounts and customer maintenance. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of job related policies, procedures, products (including IRAs, estate, trusts, etc.)
Anticipates and satisfies all customer product and service needs; enhances total bank relationship, effectively cross-sells and seeks out loan and wealth management referral opportunities to enhancing total bank relationship.
Refers and cross sells opportunities and efforts through Synapsys of new and existing customers; acquires and maintains up-to-date knowledge of Bank products and services by conducting sales training each month in order to satisfy customer needs
As appropriate, assists branch management with overall office operation and with management, personnel and administrative duties; recommends changes when necessary
Interviews and interfaces with customers on consumer loan questions and applications; works closely with underwriters and individuals to approve, decline or condition loan requests
Demonstrates superior customer and employee relation skills; communicates in a clear, concise, courteous and professional manner

CONTROL RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES
Become knowledgeable regarding the department's internal controls as outlined in the policies and procedures and comply with all control requirements.
Ability to comprehend and adhere to Federal and State banking regulations, Company policies and procedures, and successfully participate in regulatory and Company training requirements via multiple and variable delivery methods.

High School diploma or GED required
Minimum 2 years experience as a Personal Banker/CSR and Senior Teller with the bank or equivalent experience in a like position with another financial institution
Successful completion of AIB Principles of Banking and Teller cross-training program required
Prior experience and/or a demonstrated aptitude that would indicate ability to become a leader in a sales and service environment required
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail a must
Demonstrated sound judgment in decisions regarding transaction approvals and customer problem resolution
Must be computer literate with typing experience and a working knowledge of MS Office preferred
