The Personal Banker serves as a proactive member of the banking center team by being an initial contact for new and existing clients. Identifies and resolves complex customer service opportunities. Supports the retention and growth of profitable client relationships through sale of basic deposit and consumer loan products. Analyzes required financial and personal data to cross sell products and services to the customer. Essential Responsibilities include:• Provides basic banking sales solutions for basic deposit products and consumer loan products.• Provides sales assistance to walk-in clients. • Handles customer error resolution and complex service and transaction requests.• Develops and maintains a broad knowledge of WesBanco’s products and services. • Assists the banking center in meeting its team goals.• Develops and maintains a high standard in customer relations and customer courtesy, the skills to personalize service toward the customer and the skills necessary for effective cross selling. Maintains the confidentiality of the customer's relationship with the Bank.
Qualifications
College Degree preferred but not required. Two year Business Associate Degree or equivalent professional business experience required.• Demonstrated strong customer service skills.• In-depth knowledge of Bank products and services.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Strong financial services product knowledge. Must possess proven sales skills to actively sell products, services and policies of the Bank; consistently meeting referral and sales goals. Applicant must possess analytical and technical skills and ability; use job knowledge, product knowledge and technology to research teller transactions, outages and resolve customer service issues. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and Saturdays. Prior retail or personal banker experience strongly desired. Other Requirement: Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank’s policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner. SAFE Act Requirement: Must be willing to register and maintain registry with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) and comply with SAFE Act requirements.
