Key Job Responsibilities
Underwriting of new business, endorsements, photos, forms, inspections, claims, renewal reports and any underwriting issues that fall outside of the published guidelines. Assist with training of agents and underwriting staff. Requires frequent contact with our internal and external partners, with a high priority placed on phone contact with select partners. Provide training for agents and product knowledge for agents.
Required: 5 years work experience or college coursework specific to business or insurance.
Preferred: 1 year property/casualty underwriting.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Required: Excellent PC skills; verbal and writing skills; ability to work independently or with a team; assertive, but also flexible.
Preferred: Experience with Accessory Manager, modernLINK, Lotus Notes, Excel, Cognos, Word.
Required: College degree or equivalent work experience in a position that requires analytical and interpersonal skills.
Preferred: CPCU/INS coursework or other similar industry coursework.
