Petroleum Engineering Facilities Specialist |
Compiles the E&P Upstream 5-year business plan and respective crude & gas programs and provides practical recommendations on field production and project development alternatives. Develops economic models of field operations and assesses the relative merits of field portfolio options, including risk and uncertainty. Advises management on energy-related and economic issues, and assists with the development of young professionals. Should have knowledge of oil and gas operations, in particular production planning and reservoir management. Experience with oil & gas gathering systems, processing facilities, and distribution systems, and understanding of downstream processes for both oil and gas is also preferred.
BS, MS or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or a related Science discipline. 10+ years experience in reputable oil & gas consulting and/or E&P Company with significant emphasis and specialization in oil and gas production planning.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide expert advice and assistance on operating problems relating to your area of expertise.
Specify design criteria and relevant operating parameters for development of Business lines and/or new projects within your area of expertise.
Participate in project technical reviews and reviews proposals for new or changed operating procedures on your area of expertise to ensure efficient and economic operations.
Conduct economic studies on cost analysis as appropriate to resolve alternative causes of action relative to your area of expertise.
Act as Task Force Leader as assigned to solve special problems in your area of expertise.
Originate ideas for improvements, develop a basis for required field testing and Management review, analyse results and recommend new or change procedures and/or facilities.
Recommend, design and oversee suitable outside investigations to resolve problems which exceed current engineering knowledge in your specialty.
Represent Aramco in technical contacts with Shareholders and SAG representatives dealing with company procedures or proposed operations relative to your area of expertise.
Make presentations to Executive Management, to Shareholder Program Review, or to various Shareholder Technical Meetings, as appropriate.
Represent Aramco in dealings with manufacturers, vendors, outside consultants, etc. within your area of expertise.
Conduct seminars, prepare manuals, and train and develop Aramco engineers and operating personnel in your area of expertise.
Participate in technical societies and technical groups in your area of expertise; represent Aramco on industry committees or specialized groups as appropriate.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Unit Supervisor or Division Head to which you will report.
