Job Description:
Pharmaceutical Account Manager

Overview

Coordinate and oversee launch of current and new Patient Assistance Programs

Manage customer service activities and staffing

Act as a liaison between the Pharmacy and Patient Support Services and the client regarding daily departmental functions

Key Responsibilities of Account Manager:
Manage application processing to insure that program managers are meeting processing requirements

Insure Adherence to the programs SOP’s and business rules

Review calls statistics and program performance for PAP

Draft and update all approved SOP’s and business rules regarding the PAP

Provide training and ongoing performance feedback to Call Center Manager

Assist with the interviewing and hiring of staff

Resolve personnel issues

Maintain program processes while continuously looking for design improvements

Handle escalated issues to the client

Resolve customer issues

Interact with distribution centers

Run daily department reports

Measure and maintain performance against standards

Work directly with client, IT department and call center on program enhancements and new program implementation

Work directly with clients and potential clients

Work directly with the General Manager and act as contact for customer regarding program enhancements or issues

Work with sales department to provide proposals, PO’s and forecasts for current and potential programs

Provide quarterly reports to clients and call center manager

Assist General Manager with client meetings and conference calls

Provide invoices to billing department

Assist IT with testing of program enhancements and web development

Attend National/Regional PAP Conferences and Seminars
