Pharmacist Clinical (Mason, OH preferred)

Responsible for managing the selection and utilization of pharmaceuticals and supports core clinical programs such as drug utilization review (DUR) and formulary management. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Researches and synthesizes detailed clinical information and literature related to pharmaceuticals.

Reviews clinical evidence and guideline recommendations to create and maintain DUR edits that ensure WLP members receive appropriate, cost effective drug therapy.

Coordinate edit development and reviews with medical directors.

Prepares and presents DUR edits through the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Process.

Serves as a clinical pharmacy resource to pharmacy account management and trend management teams.

Works directly with the pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) to ensure appropriate edit system set-up.

Job Qualifications

Requires a registered pharmacist; 2 years of managed care pharmacy/PBM experience or residency in lieu of work experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Current valid state license to practice pharmacy as an RPh required. PharmD preferred.
