CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Part Time Pharmacist

Floyds Knobs, #81

Major Activities: ➢

Fill prescriptions and counsel customers on pharmaceuticals and drug questions. ➢

Monitor all state, local, and federal laws that pertain to pharmacy and assure compliance. ➢

Monitor and recommend promotional activity necessary to achieve sales and gross budgets. ➢

Maintain best source of supply on merchandise per KMA recommendations and manage inventory level to achieve proper service and inventory budgets. ➢

Establish and update store’s competitive price list and pricing microfiche with assistance of pharmacy coordinator and drug/general merchandise merchandiser. ➢

Assist in maintaining all record-keeping necessary for legal compliance, Kroger policy, accounting policy, and other reports requested. ➢

Enforce company dress code to project professional image and build customer confidence. ➢

Create pharmacy image of service, friendliness, and cooperativeness with customers, Kroger employees, and outside vendors. ➢

Maintain clean, neat work area, including work counter, shelves, floor, etc., and customer counter to present a professional, sanitary, organized image to customers. ➢

Control expenses through proper ordering procedures per KMA recommendations. ➢

Make recommendations to drug/general merchandise merchandiser on customer request for non-prescription merchandise not stocked elsewhere in the store. ➢

Maintain proper records, inventory, and security on all scheduled drugs (controlled substances-narcotics). ➢

Receive and cost code all merchandise per company guidelines. ➢

Price third-party prescriptions in compliance with all applicable contracts and legal requirements and monitor staff knowledge of these requirements. ➢

Ensure all “out-of-date” products are returned for credit. ➢

Maintain all equipment in working conditions, i.e., nursing home equipment, packaging, typewriter, computer, cash register. ➢

Maintain current and organize all policy manuals, reference books, state laws, and required equipment and verify all staff knowledgeable of use. ➢

Inform head pharmacist and store manager on all market trends. ➢

Make a strong and continuous effort to broaden personal knowledge and skill in pharmacy and Kroger.

Reporting Relationships:

Position reports to the Pharmacy Manager. Position supervises Pharmacy Interns and Pharmacy Technicians.

Fulfill the pharmaceutical needs of our customers. Supply informational needs of customers on pharmaceuticals and other drug products. ➢

Comply with all local, state, and federal laws governing the practice of pharmacy. ➢

Achieve pharmacy sales, gross, and inventory budgets. ➢

Achieve professional image through personal appearance, conduct and attitude of pharmacists and the physical condition of the pharmacy. ➢

Achieve results-oriented relationship with store manager, Kroger employees, pharmacy coordinator, and other health care professionals, i.e., doctors, dentists, nurses, agencies, etc. ➢

Achieve acceptable promotional activity in store to achieve budgeted sales and profits. ➢

Achieve thorough knowledge of trade area, customers, and completion. ➢

Create pharmacy department image of service, friendliness, and cooperativeness with customers, Kroger employees, and outside vendors. ➢

Responsible for replenishment, inventory, record-keeping, security, sanitation, scheduling, proper operation of all equipment, pricing, plan-o-grams, vendor returns, budgets, and reports to management. ➢

Carry out procedure for product recalls per company policy.

Reporting Relationships:

Position reports to the Pharmacy Manager. Position supervises Pharmacy Interns and Pharmacy Technicians.
