Ensures that medications are provided in a safe and rational manner according to legal/professional standards and practices. Reviews prescriptions to ensure that the medication, dose, dosing interval and route are appropriate. Provides drug information to and consults with physicians, nurses, other health care providers and patients about medication therapy when appropriate. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.
The completion of course at an accredited School of Pharmacy, with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Experience required.
Must be a registered Pharmacist in New Jersey, and a current New Jersey licensure required.
A minimum of one year retail pharmacy experience is recommended.
