We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Pharmacist position that will be based in our Rx Plus Pharmacy department. This position is based in Sanford, FL.

This position has the opportunity to be the medication expert, with activities primarily involving the provision of pharmaceutical care to the employees of Adventist Health System covered under our prescription plan. The Pharmacist will also supervise and direct support personnel and communicates consistently in a positive and professional manner, giving accurate information to all external as well as internal customers. Oral and written communication requires sensitivity, good judgment and a caring attitude to be displayed in every situation.

Specific job duties include:
Providing members with drug information education commensurate with member's learning assessment level

Managing workflow of all process and support personnel

Thoroughly evaluating prescriptions for appropriateness and verifying that all prescriptions have been processed and filled correctly according to the physician's prescription

Contacting appropriate physician with necessary recommendation based on professional judgment

Communicating effectively with any member regarding prescription questions or follow-up

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:
Retail and Hospital Pharmacy experience strongly preferred

Education Requirements:
A graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree

Current Florida Pharmacy License

Ability to work cooperatively within the health system and deal with delicate and controversial pharmaceutical care issues

Ability to handle high volume of work, frequent interruptions, multiple projects, responding quickly to emergencies, teamwork, making critical decisions

Close attention to detail for long periods of time with focus on accuracy

Computer skills:
Microsoft Word and Excel
