Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center is seeking a pharmacist to join our team of dedicated professionals to provide clinical and distributive services in a 7 on/7 off evening role. Job responsibilities include clinical pharmacy consultations in the areas of pain management, pharmacokinetics, transitions of care, and patient medication review to name a few. There is also exposure to sub-specialty areas including critical care, pediatrics, and hematology/oncology. Other activities include order verification, medication distribution, drug information provision, and direct physician/nursing/patient interaction.

About the hospital:
Avera McKennan is a 545 bed regional referral center and level II trauma center with >5000 employees located in Sioux Falls, SD – a growing community of over 150,000 people. The facility serves as the tertiary referral center for the Avera Health System. The central hospital pharmacy has recently moved to new space to add distribution technology and improved efficiency. The hospital pharmacy department has >70 FTEs, and there are >130 FTEs across all pharmacy service lines.
