The Pharmacist has primary responsibility for pharmacy operations, customer satisfaction and loyalty, employee management during assigned shifts in a pharmacy. In addition to any responsibilities otherwise outlined in the job description or elsewhere, they have responsibility for the activities defined for that role by the State Board of Pharmacy.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Pharmacy B.S. and/or PharmD degree(s) from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Must understand Medicare Part B, Medicaid supplies, DME billing and government regulations. Previous Pharmacy Management experience is preferred but not mandatory. Proven leadership skills and business acumen is preferred but not mandatory. At minimum, must be fluent, verbal and literate, in the English language. Ability to communicate via telephone, email and fax capabilities. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions one-on-one, to small groups, vendors or other employees. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, other health care providers, suppliers and employees. Math skills consistent with a passing score on State and National Pharmacy Board Examination. Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize. Demonstrates good judgment and decision making skills and able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to proactively prevent, mitigate and defuse [potentially] adverse or harmful events. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Lotus Notes or similar email applications and Adobe. Ability to utilize internet search engines and related online resources necessary to support pharmacy operations and customer service levels. Typing, keyboard and data entry skills consistent with the demands of a retail pharmacy environment. Working knowledge of basic pharmacy hardware and equipment (fax machine, laser and thermal printers, computers, IVR, torsion or analytical balance, oral solid counting machines, etc.). Active Registered Pharmacist license in the State in which the Pharmacy Manager is employed. Active vaccination and CPR certifications or in the process of receiving.
