Central Regional Hospital, a state psychiatric hospital located in Butner, N. C. is seeking a skilled clinical pharmacist to perform clinical and dispensing related duties. Position will provide pharmacy consultation in areas of drug information, pharmacokinetics, polypharmacy and drug monitoring. Prefer a pharmacist with an interest in psychiatry. This position will work primarily 2nd shift weekdays and will work 1weekend in 7 rotating between 1st and 2nd shift
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:
Position is professional pharmacy work in a state facility. Candidates should have considerable knowledge of disease states. Knowledge and experience with pharmacy automation desired. Position requires accurate verbal and written communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with a full staffing complement, particularly physicians and nursing staff. Position provides technical direction and instruction to pharmacy technicians.Hospital experience preferred with good computer skills.
Additional preferred knowledge, skills, abilities: Graduation from an accreditation College for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited school of pharmacy. Necessary special qualification: Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of North Carolina. Physical Requirements: Requires long periods of standing, walking and mobility a must.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
