    Required Skills and Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
    • Current license to practice pharmacy in the state of California without restriction or probation
    • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
    • One year current inpatient pharmacy experience or completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency
    • NICU experience

    Preferred Skills and Qualifications
    • Pharm.D. Doctor of Pharmacy

    Summary
    The Pharmacist will provide the professional, clinical and technical knowledge, and skills and expertise required for the provision of comprehensive pharmaceutical care that supports the mission, values and philosophy of Pharmacy Services and Sharp HealthCare. Potential to work within various pharmacy sub-specialties including women's health and NICU. Potential for oversight responsibilities for single and multiple department pharmacy related projects.

    Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Newborns maintains a progressive and innovative edge in providing Pharmacy services. We have implemented a Computerized Physician Order Entry system. The pharmacy is fully automated with Pyxis MedStation, Baxa EM2400 compunder, Abacus software, Cardinal Assist, PARx, and will be implementing DoseEdge in the near future. Our pharmacists are clinically involved in patient care and maintain close communication with physicians, nursing staff and patients re: care plans, treatment modalities and clinical outcomes.
