: Provides pharmaceutical care to all patients of
and affiliated health care providers. Interprets physician medication orders, entering them into the computerized patient medication profile, and sending the appropriate medication in a timely and accurate manner. Screens medication orders for potential interactions with other medications, diet orders, disease state, or stated allergies. Reviews all medication orders for appropriateness with regard to patient and disease parameters. Makes dose recommendations based on age and clearance function. Supervises the technicians in the preparation and dispensing of medications and parenterals. Clarifies problem orders with the ordering physician and writes clarifications in the patient medical record. Provides accurate and complete accounting of all controlled substances.
Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy.
Current Pharmacist license or eligible for licensure in the State of
Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
7 on, 7 off; 11:30am-10pm. 70 hours per pay period.
