Responsibilities for this Pharmacists include:
-Verifies prescriptions
-Takes new prescriptions and evaluates patient histories
-Interprets physicians' prescriptions and creates orders, accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from the computer system and verifies whether the order is reimbursable
-Consults with customers, patients and/or physicians regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions
-Conducts Quality Assurance and verifies the accuracy of all prescriptions
-Handles drug utilization review calls
-Reviews and approves/denies requests for prescription prior authorizations
-Analyzes and investigates concerns
-Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise

Requirements

-Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license for the State of OK

-B.S. in Pharmacy and/or PharmD degree from accredited School of Pharmacy.

-Experience in retail, mail order, managed care or PBM

-Intermediate level of experience with MS Office suite and the ability to type and navigate a Windows environment

-Experience using on-line clinical references and accessing professional (clinical and regulatory) internet sites

-Up-to-date clinical skills (through current work practice or demonstrated upon interview)

-Fluent English speaking skills; bilingual and multi-lingual candidates fluent in English are highly desirable

-Able to communicate effectively and professionally both orally and in writing

-Able to work effectively in a team environment and interact with colleagues in a professional and supportive manner

-Able to communicate effectively and at the appropriate level with healthcare professionals, peers and patients

-Strong customer service skills including knowledge of standard phone etiquette, problem solving and customer interfacing skills

-Organized, detail oriented and excellent on follow-up

-Able to work flexible schedules and rotate job functions, including rotating weekends and holidays
