Oversees billing activities utilizing established policies and procedures. The supervisor directs his/her department to perform daily operations in such a manner as to achieve management goals on a timely basis.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assign, direct work, and coach staff. Schedule and organize work assignments. Prioritize and delegate job tasks to ensure timely completion. Ensure work is performed accurately and efficiently.
Conduct performance evaluations and employee discipline. Hire, terminate and submit promotion or annual rate increases to Supervisor for approval. Follow Human Resource policy and procedures.
Supervise, train, and motivate employees who report directly to him/her.
Approve adjustments to correct accounts per policies and procedures.
Oversee daily billing activities per policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with SOX regulation. Ensure accuracy of payor fee schedules in the billing system to ensure accurate billing and prompt payment.

Education, Qualifications & Skills
High School diploma or equivalent, college graduate preferred
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Other educational/vocational requirements as determined by management
Excellent understanding of customer service principles and practices
Intermediate supervisory skills
Ability to prioritize, organize, trouble-shoot, and problem solve
Experience with computer applications
At least one (1) year of supervisory or lead billing experience
Healthcare experience preferred
