The intern pharmacist is a registration eligible individual who is responsible for assisting the pharmacist and managers in the operational aspects of a department or unit on a 7-day/week, 24 hour basis. This individual actively works to ensure optimal delivery of pharmaceutical care and service, as well as assisting in performance improvement initiatives, either through direct involvement and membership in PI team efforts. It is expected that the individual who holds this position is able to actively participate with peers, subordinates, and supervisors in constructive problem solving, as well as to facilitate frequent team building interactions with staff .
Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration
• Currently enrolled at an accredited Collge of Pharmacy
• Prior hospital experience preferred
• Medical and Pharmaceutical terminology
• licensed as a Pharmacy Intern by the California State Board of Pharmacy
