Responsibilities: Reviews and configures benefits for the weekly and annual Preferred Drug List updates for the state as recommended by the designated Medicaid PDL vendor. Acts as a site representative to the client/state. Supervises the work of site Pharmacy & technical staff. Answers all questions, concerns, and complaints relating to state’s Medicaid’s Pharmacy benefits from the site staff (call center, supervisors, claims, etc.), upper management, the client/state, members, and providers. Acts as a liaison to the med/dent program, provider relations, and client/state for questions from providers regarding the appropriate billing of claims. Assists client/state in producing CR’s for updates/changes/enhancements. Communicates ad hoc and emergency notices and updates regarding the MMIS POS Pharmacy program to all enrolled pharmacies via the Fax blast tool. Conducts system performance analysis on a daily basis. Implements and tracks customer requests for drug limitations. Reviews the independent work of and act as a resource to the site Drug Rebate Analyst. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Implements the State Maximum Allowable Cost (SMAC) pricing updates as recommended by the state Medicaid SMAC pricing vendor. Checks and implements the weekly configurations and updates per client/state policy. Trains the site staff on Pharmacy policy and procedures. Acts as a clinical liaison to the Shared Services technical staff. Attends each quarterly meeting and delivers quarterly reports. Coordinates and implements customer requests to update Brand/Generic status. Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. State Specified Pharmacist License. 2 years full-time experience as a consultant or medical review staff member in a Medicare, state-level Medicaid, or large health care or pharmacy benefit management organization.

2 years full-time experience as a practicing pharmacist. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to abide by company’s policies. Ability to maintain attendance to support required quality and quantity of work. Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers Physical Requirements: Sit Bend Stand Walk Handle objects (manual dexterity) Use fine finger movements (type) Must carry/lift loads of up to 25 lbs.
