The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a site’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:
·


Manage the day-to-day operations of the site as they pertain to company outcome objectives established for the region.
·

Guide and direct supervisors in the development, production and promotion of pharmacy products and services.
·
Work with General Manager to direct development of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on Omnicare corporate goals and growth objectives.
·
Maintain a sound plan of corporate organization and follow established policies and procedures to ensure adequate management development and to provide for capable management succession.
·
Develop procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow.
·
Ensure that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood to the satisfaction of both parties.
·
Ensure that all organization activities and operations are executed in compliance with state and federal regulations and laws governing financial and pharmacy operations.
·
Ensure that the staff is familiar with their role in carrying out the site’s emergency preparedness and security template.
·
Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
·
Ensure the site is in compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and accrediting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by Omnicare.
Management Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing employees with timely, candid and constructive feedback; developing employees to their full potential and providing challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.

Minimum (Required) Qualifications:
·


Bachelor Degree
·
At least two (2) years of related pharmacy management experience
·
Knowledge of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacist guidelines for practice, state and federal regulations, and drug indicators for long term care centers
·
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
·
Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
·
Ability to to work independently to plan, develop[ and coordinate pharmacy activities
·
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex topics using reasoning abilities to apply advanced mathematical concepts and draw valid conclusions.
·
Ability to work weekends and after hours as needed
·
Working knowledge of all government regulations impacting upon pharmacy
·
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Preferred Qualifications:
·


At least one (1) year of financial management experience in the area of pharmacy operations
·
At least two (2) years staff management experience of at least ten (10) employees
·
At least three (3) years long term care pharmacy experience
Physical Demands: May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.
