Monday to Friday schedule.
Read and interpret prescriptions
Receive action request or telephone refill approvals from physicians.
Enter into the computer, authorizing physicians, number of refills authorized or refusal of refill.
Reconcile patient’s co-pay with patient’s coverage.
Complete forms and/or bills for items on Accounts Receivable.
Generate profiles for patients at patient’s request as per confidentiality guidelines.
Run daily reports on prescriptions in pending action status and do follow-up.
Adhere to patient-service standards.
Adhere to Pharmacy Department Quality Assurance Standards as directed by the Pharmacist staff.
Professionally interact with customers.
Positively resolve concerns.
Must have a clear and active license as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida
National Certification (PTCB) is preferred but not required
Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Retail Experience is highly preferred but not required
