Works under general supervision of Laboratory Director and direct supervision of Laboratory Manager in collecting specimens and performance of laboratory procedures. Assists laboratory technicians in providing all necessary requisitions and supplies for the performance of tests and charting the results of the tests to the proper place in a timely fashion.
QUALIFICATIONS: Work requires the ability to read well enough to follow instructions, write legibly, have good communication skills, and a moderate degree of manual dexterity. This level of education is normally acquired through completion of a high school education. Work requires six (6) months on the job phlebotomy experience prior to assuming full responsibility.
WORKING HOURS: PRN working various days and shifts as needed. Includes occasional weekends and holidays.
