This position has the responsibility of supporting the mission of the hospital, which is to provide patients with the highest quality of healthcare within an atmosphere of genuine caring. In addition, the phlebotomist is responsible for demonstrating proficiency experience in collecting blood from patient and utilizing a variety of blood collection devices such as Vacutainers, lancets, microtainers, etc and for promoting teamwork with physicians, nurses and personnel of other departments.
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent required. Minimum of one year hospital experience as a phlebotomist preferred or completion of an approved phlebotomy training course. Demonstrates the ability to perform the technical skills and critical thinking outlined in the performance standards.
