Properly obtains, labels, and delivers patient specimens, ensuring Specimens, ensuring accurate identification to assist in the timely reporting of laboratory results. Under direct supervision performs a variety of support functions (non-technical and minor technical). Education/Experience
Preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification (or eligibility for) as a Phlebotomist
  • or 1 year experience (on-the-job) training as a phlebotomist in a related clinical health setting.
Physical Demands
Combination of extensive walking and bending, moderate standing and sitting. Must have good manual dexterity in performing capillary punctures and venipunctures, manipulating needles, syringes and vaccutainers. Must have visual acuity and hearing ability. Work Hours
