Baptist Hospital is known for hiring the Best People in America. We only accept candidates that we feel can support these practices while he or she is attending our phlebotomy school. A maximum of 8 candidates will be selected for each class.
The cost of the class is $500.00 (non-refundable fee) due upon selection. In addition to the tuition fee, students must purchase a text book, supply their own uniforms and shoes and have adequate transportation. Students are only allowed a total or two excused and/or unexcused absences during the entire three month program.
Classes are 12 weeks with a four week classroom lecture phase and a eight week clinical rotation phase. Students are asked for a commitment of Monday thru Friday. Classroom phase will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 a.m. till noon during the clinical rotation.
Baptist Health Care does not promise nor guarantee any student employment with our facility. Upon completion of the Baptist Hospital Laboratory School of Phlebotomy the students will possess the knowledge to safely and correctly perform venipunctures, explain the requirements for any tests ordered, work efficiently in a laboratory setting and have an understanding of the teamwork involved in patient care.
