On the Designer Sales Team, we work with the industry’s most elite Tastemakers. We work to uphold the same high standards within our team, with an emphasis on quality of performance, passion for the business, and pride in what we produce.
The photo coordinator will assist the lead photographer in managing the day to day operation of the Tastemaker photography needs. We are seeking someone that is self-motivated, uber organized and flexible. The ideal candidate must possess strong interpersonal and collaborative skills and be able to manage numerous projects at once.
Reports to Lead Photographer
Schedules photographers for all Tastemaker Tag Sale (TTS) shoots
Point person for entire shooting schedule, keeps buyers and designers informed of status
Identifies and books alternate photographers in secondary markets/when usual photographers are booked
Handles all paperwork (W9, NDA, image release): responsible for collecting and filing
Handles all billing
Assists Lead Photographer in tracking quarterly/monthly budgets (photography fees, travel, equipment, etc.)
Follows up with photographers as needed for collection of raw imagery according to Lead Retoucher's timeline
Works with Photo Manager, NY for process streamlining and production/coordination advice
Schedules and produces local photo shoots outside of TTS and Vintage and Market Finds (VMF) as needed (e.g. marketing shoots, editorial shoots, videos, executive head shots, PR needs, etc.)
Point person for roster of contract photographers
Main job is to support Lead Photographer
Might be asked by Lead Photographer to assist on shoots (can train)
Strong computer skills including Mac, Excel, and Photoshop Suite and quick study of internal systems and databases.
Background in photography a plus
