The focus of the Photographer position is to accurately produce quality photographs to client specifications. Also requires file management and light retouching, creative testing, sense of urgency and the attitude to cooperate within a team environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Compose the shot based on layouts, creative direction, and art
    direction. Ensure consistency between proofs by understanding and
    complying with daily color management. Attend pre-production meetings
    to raise issues relating to the photography process, merchandise, or
    art direction.

  • Execute quality photography (digital and conventional)
    providing high quality photo for clients as well as setting up
    lighting, composition, color accuracy, and exposure for each shot.
    Remove lighting and materials from set after shooting is finished
    including the repackaging and return of all merchandise.

  • Inspect equipment (i.e. cameras and lights) for possible
    technical problems and communicate equipment problems with the
    necessary parties.

  • Issue photographs for Friday Photo Drop for studio’s

  • Review layouts and contact necessary parties (i.e. Stylists,
    merchandise Coordinators, and Set Builders).

  • Produces photographs for less complex images of products based
    on the client expectations.

  • Composes the shot based on layouts, creative direction and art
    direction, and more senior photographer input.

  • Ensures proper lightening for products.

  • Decisions are typically narrow in scope and errors may cause
    simple rework or correction to a single task.

  • Completes tasks and resolves problems that require ability to
    recognized deviation from accepted practices.

  • Follows established procedures and applies general technical
    standards and concepts receives detailed instructions on new

  • Proactively offers assistance to others.

  • May train employees on basic technical skills.

  • Associate’s Degree in Photography or equivalent preferred, but
    not required.
