Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents , a 110 bed state licensed and JCAHO-accredited specialty rehabilitation hospital, is located on 98 acres of riverfront land between Richmond and Williamsburg, Virginia in New Kent County. We provide specialized care for young people whose disabilities, injuries or lifelong illnesses are compounded by emotional and/or behavioral problems. We currently have a Part-Time opening (24 hours/week) for a Physical Therapist OR Assistant. The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:
Evaluate all patients referred by physicians; develop and execute treatment plans that are developmentally appropriate to the individual in accordance with standards of practice.
To accurately observe, record, and document patient’s response to treatment in medical records in a timely manner.
Contributes to patients’ integrated rehabilitation program by active participation in the treatment team process.
Effectively cope with emotional and behavioral changes exhibited by patients.

Job Requirements
The following are the job requirements for the Physical Therapist & Assistant positions:
Must possess discipline specific skills as states in the competency skills checklist, excellent written and verbal skills, ability to assess and treat a wide variety of neuromotor disorders, the ability to participate as an effective member of a multidisciplinary rehab team, the ability to deal with a wide variety of mental, emotional and behavioral factors which have significant impact
At least an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college.
Must hold a current Virginia license (or eligible) .
